What we have seen so far is that the power is held by the Republican party leaders. 1. McCain had to select Sarah Palin even though he would have Lieberman or Tom Ridge. Why Palin? She can be controlled by neocons since she knows absolutely nothing about governing the country. 2. In the last debate McCain claimed that he repudiated anybody doing the negative attacks to Obama. Then. everything was nice and cozy during Alfred Smith dinner party. The next day: robocall, and McCain again brought up Ayers, and his surrogates did the same. McCain has become a puppet on a string controlled by the Republican Party leaders. 3. Powell get the marching order and the word was leaked that he will be on Sunday's Meet the Press. He will endorse McCain.
