Maybe you are just not considering what could have happened; the hockey rink gets built and some of Todd's "friends" who also worked on the rink and/or were rink contractors help him in the after hours work on the house with "comp"ed materials. No proof; just coincidental timing to go by, but it does suggest something worth checking .
