I'm not talking about "progressive taxation". I'm talking about Obama's own words.

What has he said? that he will raise the rate from 36% to 39% on income above 250K...OMG...a socialist...we are going back to clinton's tax rates. Scandalous...

I can't speak for the others, Dave, but here's how I see it.

Government is all about choices. The choice for the last 30 years have been (R) choices, reward the wealthy, trickle-down for the rest. It's brought us to where we are today. It's gone too far.

Let's say that "10" represents the highest earnings. In the current environment, 99% of us are 1's or 2's. Let's say 1 represents the least you can make and still eat and afford a place to live. (R) policies have been sending all the rewards of society to the 9's and 10's, while convincing all the rest if they don't do that, they'll be even poorer.

That's over. It didn't work. It was a con. The majority now SEE that it was a con. So, things will change. We DO need to spread the wealth around. We DO need to redistribute the wealth.

When ALL boats are lifted, ALL prosper. The lesson of the Clinton years.
