It doesn't matter if there are 500,000 more Democrats than Republicans registered somewhere, if a bunch of the Dem registrations are bogus, and more of the Republicans actually vote.

I think - and I'm guessing at the logic here - the idea is that first ACORN makes up all these fake registrations. Then a load of Democrat voters show up claiming those are their registrations, and vote accordingly (presumably having already used their proper vote?). And this is then why the Democrats are so against voter ID, because it would foil their cunning plan.

Or if I correctly understood one thread I glanced at, illegal immigrants who speak no English are bussed from voting station to voting station, and their interpreter identifies them and then votes down the ticket on each one's behalf... which is an interesting conflation of button-issue memes, at the very least. (they probably go back to smuggling cocaine, rape/murder/pillage and stealing honest people's jobs after this).

I am guessing that this isn't quite so possible as made out. If only because it doesn't seem to have been done in huge numbers already. Or has it...? <g>
I would welcome a rebuttal, anyhow.

Oh sorry........2004.......have too much going on in my life right now.

Then why is ACORN handing in so many fraudulent registrations?

I don't see the logic in that. How do fraudulent registration cards prevent anyone from voting? Mickey Mouse is not going to show up to vote. The Dallas Cowboys aren't going to show up in Nevada to vote. The guy in Ohio who claims to have been paid off to register 72 times in his own name may well end up voting, but he will be able to vote exactly once, since only the most recent registration counts.

I guess it isn't illegal to submit thousands and thousands of false registrations? But I just can't come up with a reason for ACORN to continue to submit them anyway. Do they enjoy causing registrars this kind of problem? Are these "voters" asking for absentee ballots? Does ACORN exist simply to employ people regardless of their background because they are "poor" and need a job, and who cares whether thousands of registrations are bogus, and they get money from various foundations AND the U.S. govt? Who are these incompetent people running this program? And I'll reiterate.......why do they continue to submit false registration?

And it isn't illegal to register the same person more than once.

Do you mean it is legal to register more than once in your state?

That is illegal in Washington State.

Edit....illegal to register in two or more counties in Wa state. Called registrars office but they're closed, so will call in the am to verify.
