... have been describing Palin as "effective." My question relative to Palin not being "effective" 'cause she couldn't fire the state trooper was designed to make folks think what exactly is "effective."

Back in the seventies and eighties we kept hearing about a new paradym of feminine leadership. The mean girls grabbed the reigns to prove they could lead corporate America and change the culture in a way so that "success" and effectiveness would be defined differently than it was in the 40s and fifties. We would get rid of the old role model, the independant conquering male of the cowboy movies, who would and replace that with something more feminine and cooperative. However, the mean girls copied the bad good ol'boys model and became the good new girls. They went out and got drunk on corporate power and lacivious living. Now they are frustrated old spinsters sitting on it.

Palin didn't compromise her womanhood for worldly success. She used it effectively and has been very effective at governmental feminine leadership.

"Effective" is seen in the act of accomplshiing what needs to be done toward long term success goals. Palin has been an effective government leader, and is an excellent and refreshing role model for young girls who want to have family and career.
