Elroy, you are totally right. I think the Japanese scenario is not in play here because Japan was isolated.

This is global and systemic in nature.

Australia or the UK or the EU or Russia or China, etc policy levers will not "prolong" it.

Everybody is in deep shit.

I agree that this bear is far from over.

But I do think there is enough panic for a pretty good bear bounce soon.

With the dollar as short-term overbought as it has ever been and gold stocks at record lows relative to bullion, we could have quite a bear bounce in this sector for sure.
