He was a visiting lecturer at Chicago, not even on a tenure track though he was offered tenure and turned it down.

I'm content with several thousand speeches, interviews and debates Obama has done. For those who insist on still labeling him a mystery man, good for you. Obama's approval ratings in the electorate have gone up and up steadily.

That argument doesn't fly outside the red base. Sorry. I still find it curious that at such a late date, people are pursuing tired, discredited themes in the campaign. I won't even get into the ghost writing and other phantoms. Believe what you like on your thread.

But that's partly what brought the race to where it is.

What writing exists other than those two possibly ghost written memoirs?

No evidence they are ghost written. Tons of evidence, including testimonies from various folk at the publishers office, that Obama was the sole author. Unless you have some strong evidence, to call them "possibly ghost written" reveals far more about yourself than about Obama.

There has been no legal scholarship published anywhere, which is astonishing considering his time at Harvard Law Review and lawprof at U. of Chicago. What happened to publish or perish?

As I recall, there is piece or two from his time at Harvard. But you can bet your house on the notion that his work at Harvard was read and reread reread for him to be on the Review and to be the lead person on it. It would only have been top notch.

As for his position at the U. of Chicago, he was not on a tenure track line. Reportedly he was offered, several times, either a tenure track line or tenure (wasn't clear just which) and turned it down in favor of a political career. So Chicago was more than satisfied with his work.

Given the standards at those two law schools, your concerns, again, reveal more about yourself than about Obama.

We can't even read his dissertation from Columbia, it's disappeared from the archives. What do we really know about this guy? There is no paper trail.

Read his speeches, particularly his speech on race. By all reputable accounts, he wrote it himself. And writes most if not all of his speeches.

Do you have a credible link for this charge or did you just make it up on the spot?

Wow. It must really be tough to get something by you.

I am with you on this score. We need to track down exactly what he did at Columbia University, Harvard Law School, and the University of Chicago. When did he enroll? What were his grades? What papers he wrote? And how welective are these schools?

At the same time, we should find out more about Sarah Palin's academic credentials.

Why did she switch schools six times in six years to "earn" a degree in "communications" journalism?

What were her grades and was there any evidence that she had ever written a term paper?

Did she get a scholarship to attend Hawaii Hilo or Hawaii Pacific University? Did she get an academic scholarship?

And how selective are these schools:
Hawaii Hilo, Hawaii Pacific University, North Idaho College, University of Idaho, and Matanuska-Susitna College? What are the average SAT scores of students attending those schools versus students attending Columbia University and Harvard Law School?
