Wow, the wheels are coming off the Palin bus now too. This could get really weird before November 4.

Really interesting read.

Palin's gut reactions, her sense of confidence about her own decisions, might be a good thing if she had the foundation for making them and had shown good judgment in the past. From the impulsive dismissing and rehiring of Wasilla employees, the Sports arena on land to which the city hadn't cleared title, to troopergate and the bridge to nowhere, her travel expenses, claiming her children were doing state business, to having Todd in the office with her, way too involved... these are the actions of someone sure of herself, but making decisions that a more thoughtful and smarter person would have analyzed carefully and not made.

She has started blaming others, apparently, for blowing her chance at the bigtime, and is beginning to build her own base for the future. She will not go gently...

But based on her judgment in these other areas, I would have serious doubts about it in the future, even if she does educate herself more deeply on the issues. As we are so often reminded by the RW, education doesn't make you smarter.

"The campaign as a whole bought completely into what the Washington media said — that she's completely inexperienced," said a close Palin ally

It is entirely possible that the campaign insiders got a much closer look at the candidate than the Washington media did <g>
