I feel pretty confident that Obama will not be the same old play and will stand up to his party. He's shown he's more interested in talent, skills, and productivity than loyalty. Others have recognized that and as a result he's able to draw above and beyond partisanship.

The Dems are certainly aware this is about change. Nobody's going to believe they've been handed anything other than that. They're expected to produce ASAP or face a very angry mob.

This will be done under a very different type of politics, because there will be no other option.

Most importantly, the first black president will be held to the highest standards. Obama knows this and certainly seems up to the task.

The (D)'s are going to KNOW without a doubt that they have a mandate from the people. I'm hoping for a big shift from guns to butter. I hope they can keep the spending down. Even if they can't, better butter than guns.
