It just so happens that Dodd being Chair of the Senate Banking Committee and Frank of the House Finance Committee get a lot of the limelight. Sheila Bair is part of the Republican admin, and she wants to continue to enable the insanity. John McCain wants to continue with the hair of the dog. There is enough blame to go around to be sure. I didn't mean to make a political post. One thing Martenson (don't want to beat that to death) points out is that both parties are highly committed to preserving the status quo. I will have to bring a motion sickness bag with me into the polls on Nov 4th. That is usually the case. I expect that I will write in Ron Paul or vote for the Libertarian - Bob Barr. Somewhere this AM I read that the market is up 8% on average when there is divided government (president of one party and Congress in general controlled by the other) and is down 7% when the opposite is true. I will probably vote against my incumbent Dem Rep - Van Hollen. Of course this is Montgomery County Maryland so he will get 99.5% of the vote anyway.
