Tom,
I made the case over on the Intel thread that allowing these
leaks is an incredibly stupid thing for DEC to do. DEC has sent
a clear message to their customers that they plan to dump Alpha, and
at this point there is still no signed deal with Intel. Remember DEC
was the one who boasted they have a contract with Intel to supply
Pentium processors but they forgot to ask Intel if this was true.
While there may be an agreement between Intel and DEC coming, I
really don't know, who is going to commit their IT budget to Alpha
now? It seems DEC has had a look at Merced and thrown in the towel.

With bankruptcy looming, what is a good price to get back into AMD
in expectation of a buyout?

RE: more bad news for AMD

I'm not an AMD shareholder, but I am watching this stock. Unfortunately, short interest for October shows over 20%
increase. The "smart money" thinks this stock will go lower.

Good Luck

Tom,

What makes you think short interest is the "smart money"?
