I haven't noticed anyone bringing up the mention Del made about now being able to purchase Borland products via the website; not merely to order them, but to purchase & download on the spot the products.

My guess is this is more significant than one might think. I don't know about other countries, but here, demand for instant gratification is big. People will pay FULL PRICE for the product for the convenience of being able to download it and use it TODAY. Sales that occur like this eliminate a great deal of cost for Borland, bring in RETAIL sales (cutting out the channel), and give customers a chance to spend their money before they think about it.

Of course, we all know, this is they way all software will be purchased soon; but I think Borland will see some immediate benefits at the bottom line from this.....

Could not say it better myself - but of course being the conservative investor type that I am I had to restrain myself from using ebullient words myelf!!! ;-)
