Barry when I looked into this Birth Certificate issue and I don't know how far back that was I did have his birth certificate brought up for my viewing on the search. So it is rather preposterous at this juncture that it is still an issue. I think there are sites where one can obtain a picture of it. Maybe someone here can help you. My builder here just listens to Fox news and he is convinced that Obama is a radical Muslim. Now, how does one disprove this. I would investigate further if I were you and sincere about really wanting to know the truth. However I would not trust some of the threads on S.I. ready to provide that.

I DO think that The Origin of Species does not answer the question of how life began and does not rule out a creative God. I do believe in evolution in the sense that natural selection can create changes in specie. For WIW, you statement above shows confusion. Darwins theory is ONLY about how natural selection creates new species. It does not and never has said anything about Abiogenesis. His theory was that all the current species have descended from a few or perhaps only one, original species (he wisely didn't know which, and today we still don't really know either).

There are many questions one could put to Obama, but he is the child of an American mother. Trying to question his birth certificate at this point is a little odd. But no, this is not the "society of friends" thread. So you are right about that. As for the Origing of Species, it was never meant to answer the question of how life begins. If you ever read it, you will know what questions Darwin was interested in addressing- namely the radiation of species and their adaption to different environments, and how adaptive radiation might bear on evolution.
