That tends to happen when you dress a question up with imagined details. He could have asked the question without those details, or even couched it as a hypothetical. But, he flat out claimed something that wasn't true.

As you're fond of saying, there goes the goalpost down the field.

Whether Joe was posing a hypothetical, whether he has a plumber's license, whether he TRULY intends to buy the business, whatever, is TOTALLY BESIDE THE POINT.

This is just your ideology getting in the way of the facts. That is, Obama wants to redistribute the wealth of those who have worked hard and accomplished something to those who have worked less hard, or not all, and accomplished little or nothing.

The important point is that when you put more people on welfare, which is precisely what Obama is proposing, the incentive is to sit on your ass rather than to be a productive member of society.

This is so freaking obvious it is difficult for a rational person to miss it. I don't know why you can't see this. I can understand an idiot like Ted not seeing it. But you purport to be a thinking person.

CJ, > When you do that, you run the risk of having your message lost. Which is why it is a stupid thing to do.

Don't forget that you should ensure you don't owe any taxes, even an amount as small as $1,182. Or at least prepare yourself for an IRS audit.

Because that's the Brave New World everyone who attacks Joe the Plumber is asking for. And that will mean a lot, especially when Obama lowers the threshold for being "rich."
