Yes, so many new feasible technologies that could make this country virtually energy independent 10-15 years. All we need is to build out the infrastructure, mainly. Barack will take care of that.

The magnitude of bush's mistake in dropping our entire military right in the middle of places who do not want us there, indeed hate us; and places where we cannot possibly win anything will be shown by history to be comparable to Custors Last Stand and Picken charge. He broke us financially and destroyed our military all the while taking his eye off of Russia nd China. In fact provoking Russia for no good reason. It was crazy. I mean really crazy and very very stupid. Obama surely sees this and will pull us right out of the ME as quickly as possible and try and form coalitions with the world to address the ME problems. Re energy: One thing the US could do right now which would greatly help both our energy needs and put people back to work would be to bring that Alaskan natural gas line down through Canada and hook into Canadas gas pipeline distribution network to the mid west and east coast. And do it in 3 years, rather than 10.
