Think of it as another stimulus check to those who most need it!! If they cut the dividend, the stock price will drop more and probably affect the bank's capital position.

Wall Street basically told the US government to put up the money or they (investors) would abandon the market ensuring total collapse, worse than what we have had. It was an ultimatum and the government capitulated. * * *
