That's an excellent observation- Not sure why the New Year has caused the downswings recently, but we should definitely be aware of the effect. I don't want Obama elected, because the Congress is almost certain to be a Dem. majority. Both branches controlled by one party is almost never a good thing. S@#t happens that takes years to fix after the inevetable switch back of the House after 2 years of leaning too far in one direction. OTOH- from my knowledge, the market normally does better under Demmykrauts..
