That's the problem. Too many folks demonize immigrants when the fact is that we're all descended from immigrants, except the native Americans. It's a joke. We need to find a way for a legal, mass influx of immigrants, including Mexicans, as well as more educated workers that typically come in on H-1 visas. We need to stop being so anti-immigrant. Ultimately, everyone will see that this will be the only viable solution to our pending medicare and social security entitlements. Either we privatize them (which will never happen), or we find a massive new generation to pay into the system to pay for the entitlements of all the baby boomers. So we'd better all get over our immigrant phobias and start figuring out ways to get them on the tax rolls.
