and that plain old telephone wire entering my house isn't? All it takes is one significant advancement in cable modem technology and xDSL will be a fringe player. The key is market share, not incremental technology, and the RBOCs are frittering away a golden opportunity by their deployment delays.

If you're suggesting that someone buy options in the hopes of making a killing when the "contracts" are announced... you should also point out that one needs to know WHEN the announcements are near, or likely lose the entire option investment.
