Oh, I agree that we can always do better. I meant that I dislike direct comparisons between systems because I don't think they are equatable. (is that a word? capable of equating?)

Isn't that why we are voting Dem? We believe we can do better?

In Norway they believe the government is there for the people - they expect government to accomplish projects that benefit their citizens.

That's a tribal construct. That approach works well for a tribal population.

Not only is the population of Norway basically tribal, it's hardly any bigger than my city.

And, like Alaska, it has a strong natural resource base to support it.

Apples and oranges.
