The general rule is, any politician and/or campaign that starts whining about the media, is losing. Because they are losers who can't find a way to mount a legitimate lead over their opponents based on issues or style. They behave badly more and more, the media reports that, then it's all about the evil media jumping on them.

If they could win on their merits, the media would be writing positive stories about them by definition. That's what winners get.
