Obama will get a 90 day grace period from the electorate. If no progress is made during that time in improving the economic/foreign policy landscape, most Americans will quickly turn on him and the Democrats.

I agree with much of what you say but his grace period will be longer than 90 days from his supporters. From Republicans, he will have no grace period.

Some polls show a tightening in PA, with Obama ahead but within the MOE.

Whoever is president has nothing but tough times ahead... NOTHING is going to make the economy "better" in 90 days. It'll be interesting, cause I don't think the question (4 years from now) "Are you (materially) better off than you were 4 years ago" will be answered in the positive by many.
