"Courts have frequently forced young children to have blood transfusions against the wishes of their Jehovah’s Witness parents."

Are you saying courts cannot force people to give transfusions, or that courts cannot force parents to stop transfusions.

The govt cannot force a parent to give a blood transfusion to a child, even if it is life threatening. Thats the way our legal system is set up. the Pro Lifers fail this test.

The issue is the fetus is infringing in the rights of the mother to live. We as a society do not legally violate one persons rights for another- ever.

It's even more simple, the fetus is not a person.
The fetus has rights which derive from the the person to whom the fetus is attached, but that does not make it a person by itself.
