Speaking of California, here's a rather distressing video about housing, it was pretty well done, not political:

For the past 2 days, the TV news in Southern California has been showing hundreds of people, waiting to vote early, standing in lines that wrapped around the block. Three people who were interviewed said they'd been waiting for 3 hours. They then cut to a large room at the central post office with hundreds of the P.O.'s boxes stuffed with absentee ballots. You can just see the headline: Record Voter Turnout

Every recent election has been decided and reported on network news before the polls close in California.

The interesting part of California's ballot is the number of measures (5) that 4 billionaires paid to put on the ballot.

George Soros, Henry T. Nicholas (Broadcom co-founder and currently under indictment), T. Boone Pickens and Peter Sperling. Soros, Pickens and Sperling all stand to benefit financially if the propositions pass by diverting taxpayer money into their companies. As interesting is that the very left leaning L.A. Times ran the story.
