Why won't Obama simply produce his birth certificate?

Perhaps because he shouldn't have to.

There's a huge insult in demanding it and no corresponding legitimate rationale. It's like answering the question, "are you a pedophile." Your reaction is "what in the world would make you think I'm a pedophile?" You don't answer questions like that. People should not have to answer demeaning questions. You award unwarranted respect to the questioner when you cater to it.

He has.

I suggest you read this:

DMaA, re: You don't have the guts to discuss real issues."

Let's see, we have the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan where American men and women are dying and bleeding as we speak, the economy, personal freedoms at risk in our country, Gitmo, terrorism, the role of religion in government, and a host of other issues, and the "real issue" you want to "discuss" is Obama's birth certificate?

I think I'll simply say that the things you find important are so distinct from the things I find important that it makes perfect sense that we'll vote for different candidates tomorrow. And I suspect that you'll be, finally, on the wrong end of "real issues" for Americans. Ed

>>Why won't Obama simply produce his birth certificate?<<

DMAA -

The Director of Hawaii's Department of Health has confirmed, as of October 31st, that Obama was born in Hawaii. If you read the story, you'll also learn that his birth certificate hasn't been handled any differently from any other person's.

bizjournals.com

The US State Department has issued Obama a Passport, which means that he satisified their requirements for proof of citizenship.

Perhaps you could take this information back to the PfP thread, so that the people there can quit worrying about Obama's citizenship.
