No, I'm just pointing out that the majority of the taxes we pay aren't legitimately considered "the price we pay for society".

I'm not. I mentioned them in a list with other things, then I responded to questions and comments about them.

Its not particularly big, but its one of the most obviously bad parts of federal interference in agriculture. A lot of the rest is pretty bad as well though, so my real problem is with the majority of federal agricultural related spending, trade barriers, and regulation of prices, not just with the Milk compact.

Progressive taxation does not mean punishing the creation of wealth

I said "highly progressive taxation", not just "progressive taxation. But really it isn't just limited to the more extreme cases. Even more mildly progressive taxes discourage wealth creation, just not to the same extent. In the more mild cases it might be a price worth paying.
