As the NYT reported yesterday, the administration is already working to make and nail down hundreds domestic policy executive decisions before it leaves office. Anything can be reversed, of course, but the way the process works it will take time.

I bet Bush must to relieved to know that he has a successor and that he does not have to wait weeks to know who it is and then hand over power.

I thought heard that Rahm Emanuel would be COS. He would be a good choice. But, if he doesn't get that post, he would be good to replace Barack in the Senate. I hope Jesse Jackson Jr. doesn't get the appointment. Although he seems to be a good guy, the baggage of his father will not go away. I would have no problem with him in the Senate if he runs in an election and the people of Illinois choose to put him there. While on the subject of Jesse Jackson, were my wife and me the the only ones who found it offensive for the TV networks (I think we were watching MSNBC)keep going to Jackson Senior in the crowd during Barack's speech. They kept showing him with tears in his eyes. WHAT HYPOCRISY - after he did every thing he could to hurt Obama's chances.
