I believe the late Olof Palme, the former and highly controversial high profile Premier of Sweden, may have been the closest Obama style international predecessor so far. The similarities are spectacular in my opinion. In some sense, he is a blank piece of paper and a lot of people paint for themselves whatever image of him they want to see... He already declared his run for 2012, when he said in his acceptance speech that not all of the things on his agenda can be achieved in one term... Joe
