I just disagree with you that he had somehow brainwashed me, despite the fact that I voted for McCain and have openly supported McCain and criticized Obama for months on SI. We ran a lackluster, uninspiring campaign, and we selected a very weak, divisive candidate in McCain. And...... the Republican Party refused to moderate on any of the key, emotional issues like Abortion and Stem cell Research. Just a little compromise would have brought in many more moderate and independent voters. The Republican Party basically said, the Hell with independent and moderate voters, and they answered, to Hell with the Republican Party. === "I am for stopping socialism from gaining any more ground. === I agree. But, socialism is just one of my issues. The corruption in government and in our corporations has got to be stopped. Our system of justice allows criminals with long rap sheets to wander our streets, Our education system turns out teachers and students who are basically illiterate. There are countless families who don't have, or can't afford basic medical treatment, etc. And..... if Obama thinks that he can sit down with tyrants and brutal Islamic murderers and sweet talk them into becoming decent human beings, then Obama has no clue or understanding of the history of racism, religious intolerance and barbarism throughout the Middle East.
