>> BUT Dec NG is still down 30 cents. <<

We have almost as much gas in storage as last year's all time record amount,

but unlike last year:

1.) The deepening recession means there will be less industrial and commercial demand. Shut down factories use less gas. Closed shuttered stores require less heating.

2.) Domestic production is up over last year despite the hurricane damage thanks in large part to the shale gas.

3.) Oil is down big again today, dragging the entire energy sector down with it.

So less demand, more supply, and the subtitute product, oil, down
again means nat gas down. A 10 bcf miss in the weekly estimate amounts to nothing when weighed aginst these larger factors.
