Fine. And the "barbarians" gave 300 million voluntarily to Alaskans, and another 2.2 billion on clean-up, plus another billion for studies and research per settlements.

Point is, courts are all we need to ensure that those responsible pay. Let government run the show, and mistakes will be paid for by taxpayers (and mistakes will continue to happen, if not more often than when a private concern knows it'll pay if it screws up).
