maybe. we ain't real bright down here, ya know. but it could happen. and we will never admit y'all pay our bills. :) And pay some attention to WV and bringing new industry... and GA and LA are possible, especially with some attention. It's smaller populations here... get some people to work fixing bridges and levees and the such and... some health care and... might make believers of them. cross gays off the list and it might happen. I'd be crossed off for that. Abortion will fade as jobs come and people focus on that and health care. Amazing how it was dissed in '92 and now it is about tops on the list. I do understand you need to let people take time to adjust. Just as it's taken them all these years to adjust to race issues... but people do grow.

The south has been cutting off their nose to spite their face since the civil rights act as chooseanother pointed out.

The Republican's are not the friend of the working man. Never have been. Union busting, keeping a lid on the minimum wage, Working against universal health care, etc.

All the Republicans ever gave the south was support for their bigotry. Crass, but true.

As told in the book "What is wrong with Kansas."
