I think you have a great governor.....ALA and Jindal in LA too. If both states follow their lead, I think things will improve both economically and socially. Huntsville and Mobile seem to have their acts together and are growing. The more prosperous an area gets; the more educated.....and the more educated, the more liberal. Its all good! ;-)

maybe. we ain't real bright down here, ya know. but it could happen. and we will never admit y'all pay our bills. :) And pay some attention to WV and bringing new industry... and GA and LA are possible, especially with some attention. It's smaller populations here... get some people to work fixing bridges and levees and the such and... some health care and... might make believers of them. cross gays off the list and it might happen. I'd be crossed off for that. Abortion will fade as jobs come and people focus on that and health care. Amazing how it was dissed in '92 and now it is about tops on the list. I do understand you need to let people take time to adjust. Just as it's taken them all these years to adjust to race issues... but people do grow.

why did LA go with Bush especially since they have Jindal as governor? I know Jindal is republican but he is an Indian american so the racism thing probably wasn't the issue there was it?

Choose..on Prop 8..I read thru your thread..first, I'm so sorry it passed..

Another data point in case you'd not seen it: only 53% of San Francisco bothered to go vote for anything..and SF has an extremely low Black population, as I'm sure you know...

sfgov.org

I've got a dear, lil sis type friend in LA who this personally impacted but it also offended me to have a current right stripped..

I trust that the grass roots will run a more effective campaign in the not too distant future...
