"even Black Men cherish the concept of one man one woman marriage."

Unfortunately, black men seem to prefer the concept of one woman marriages.

And the demographics are not promising. In 1980, 77 percent of American children lived with two parents compared with 68 percent today. For black children the numbers are more stark: 42 percent lived with both parents in 1980, versus 35 percent today. In contrast, in Japan, 92 percent of children live with both parents.

I think it will be hard to find a more prejudiced sentence than that.
It's unfortunate that CA blew it on Prop 8 and even more unfortunate that it's being used as a wedge issue.

As I posted to a friend in a PM yesterday, the barrier that fell on Tuesday is a harbinger of more to come. This barrier too shall fall. It's gonna happen - it's only a matter of time. No ifs, ands, or buts.

It's a shame that mainstream is still so intolerant in this respect. Is it just me or does it boggle anyone else's mind that we so readily accept the contributions of gays and lesbians ( and the contributions are disproportionately huge - in terms of literature, painting, sculpture, music, poetry, philosophy, science, theatre etc etc) but balk at treating them as equals.

If conservatives feel disrespected and belittled by this demand for equal rights, it begs the question what must gays and lesbians feel.

What a contemptible Joke!

Sorry for the rant.

Even black men?

So when miscegenation was legal we'd say "Even white people cherish the concept of one male white person married to one female white person"?

Great defense of bigotry. "Even black men are for it"

What next?
