Some corporations provide health benefits for "domestic partners." Some don't. Some states may allow inheritance and visitation rights.

Does this apply to domestic partners who are animals and/or dead? <G>

Equal treatment under the law is really the only acceptable standard, as far as I'm concerned.

Once one perceives the question as one of equal treatment under the law, the answer is undeniable.
