I'm confused as to why you would think I'd want a theocracy. So you will vote for using a secular state constitution to block gay marriage because you think it's a sin and stopping people from doing it helps them spiritually...but you don't think that you are using the powers of the state to enforce religious doctrine in a theocratic fashion. Yikes! ;<) What other constitutional amendments would you support to improve the spirituality of deviants in the US? There must be lots of worthy causes to modify and improve the behavior of others. Of course, the irony is that Prop 8 does nothing to limit or reverse homosexuality, it simply makes homosexuals second-class citizens in terms of marital rights.
