>>> Russians takes care of the ill and old? <<< did you visit any homes for the elderly in Russia - outside the major cities? .... or any Russian hospitals for the old?

Please remember that Russia or Russians are not what Russia is now within their recognized international borders.

Russia is a much smaller country originated in the Western Russia of today along the Baltic /Polish and Byelorussia borders, north of Ukraine and no farther east than the Volga River and its western tributaries. Astrakhan is not Russia it was conquered same to Novosibirsk or Omsk where Russians where send to settle or even Vladivostok is not Russian.

Today Russia of 150 million has a minority who can call themselves Russian all others are people and nation under Russian rule who without choice adapted to Russian way of life.

As to WWII besides substantial help from the US General Winter made its part in defeating the German army which fought in summer uniforms in minus –30 Celsius weather and all mechanized armored vehicles screech to a halt or barely moved because the intense cold.(Did not Napoleon Army faced the same? not under Soviet Socialism?)

How about the multinational groups that represented real armies destroying German supply lines – yes the Russian called them partisans but let them die of hunger. All the Russians where supplying them, where bullets and old machine guns – and later put them in forced labor camps like the Nazis to build military runways, trenches and military bases and many of which where not released until was well after the WWII ended or better where send to Siberia in forced labor camps because they where not ideologically fit to join the “free countries”.

One of my uncles who was "liberated" from Auschwitz endured the kindness of the Russians build roads and airport strips with bare hands, given to eat potato skins and was forced in 1945 to work the Russian grain fields until October before being released and signed praise and allegiance to the Russian Army.

My Dad never wanted to discuss neither the forced labor camps under the Nazi and neither his “liberation” by the Russians and the forced labor under the Red Army. All I know that his back was filled with scars which he refused to tell me from where they came from.

Yes Russian propaganda was very effective to tell the story otherwise, the more I hear or read about the lies of Russia propaganda spewed to the world the more I shiver
