A fetus is not a child Not true, but we are never going to agree on that point, so we might as well let that slide. After the "life form" has passed through the birth canal or otherwise been removed from the womb its not a fetus. In humans, the unborn young from the end of the eighth week after conception to the moment of birth, as distinguished from the earlier embryo. thefreedictionary.com But if your so hung up on "fetus" whatever you call it, is it ok, to kill it before the cord is cut if it is healthy and has left the womb?
