I make a comment about a disaster being predicted in the '70s in the population growth area and it not happening and I call it ok... and I get critiqued for it twice. I make the point that a gold standard has never lasted, which is a simple historical fact, and try to point out that similar problems that cause a gold standard to disappear and fail are virtually the same ones that cause fiat to fail... and seems to either fall on deaf ears or its like I'm assaulting some sacred idol. Maybe its time to head for the bunker.
