You are freaking out over the giving of $5k welfare payments to Americans but you are perfectly fine with spending $10 billion per month for a war we shouldn't have started in the first place??? I am perfectly fine with the expenditure for the Iraq War because I understand the long-term implications. I recognize there are many of you who are totally ignorant of history and the circumstances that took us into the Iraq War, but I'm not. I know the history of the Middle East very well and invading Iraq was a senseless and expensive act that has set back American/Muslim relations by decades. If you choose to ignore that fact and think expending $10 billion per month is just fine, then don't ask me about a $5k welfare payment. The Iraq War was an unfortunate necessity. Luckily, we had a president who understood the importance of succeeding in Iraq. There are very few of you left who believe......maybe you could form a club and make Bush your president. By now, even Obama is starting to get the picture and realizes that the rate at which he draws down our involvement there must be dictated by the facts and circumstances in the region. Hopefully, at least, he now is starting to get it Obama is trying to figure out how to close that war down asap and transfer that money to things needed in the US. It never ceases to amaze me how limited your thinking and focus is.
