You are arguing that encouraging growth in housing is somehow a bad thing. Yes but arguing that government intervention to push growth in one particular area is a bad thing doesn't imply that government intervention to discourage growth in that area is a good thing. You are also arguing that somehow Fannie is all to blame for this mess I argued nothing of the sort. What I did was argue that Fannie was part of the problem, not all of the problem. Oh yes, you also fail to remember that there are shareholders in Fannie and Freddie. I never said, implied, or believed any such thing.
