I'm hoping Obama doesn't keep most of his promises because I liked almost none of what he had to say. I think you can rest easy on that score. Obama's promises do not weigh heavily on him, as we have already seen. For him, it is purely a matter of who has the most clout now and into the future. He is quite cynical in his alliances, as we have also seen. However, considering the various groups having a go at Obama right now, this may not prove to be much of a consolation.
