They are if that's what the consumer is buying.

Until recently the consumer was buying bigger and more powerful cars, with MPG typically only being a secondary consideration.

That has changed, and will change even more.

We've had the argument and don't need to repeat it. Bookmark my note and we'll revisit it in 3 years and see who was right.
