A split is the last thing Iomega needs to do right now. In fact, splits are to blame for the debacle that IOM found itself in the past year and a half. When the stock price was racing upward with a PE of well over 200, it was irresposible for Iomega management to declare a split. This just induced even MORE speculation. The resulting run-up and crash made a lot of important enemies for IOM stock. Iomega is trying to build up credibility for it's stock. It would be a giant step backward to once again stoke the fires of Internet Hype.
