Here is a good extracurricular exercise you two can participate in over the next year or two.

Print the post out from the link below and keep it some place near his or your study area.

Watch and see what happens.

When the promises are broken, you can discuss them with Jr. and make decisions based on their value or importance. Why the President said one thing and did another, and do research on line regarding each issue etc.

This could be an accelerated lesson in civics and Jr will be way ahead of his class when/if he actually has a class on American Politics.

Great idea with the huge amount of DVD's available...I KNOW the Smithsonian has many great ones, and so does Colonial Williamsburg ...In fact, the Bill Barker I told you about has several out and we bought them when we were back there...

The John Adams series was great when it was on, and we have the DVD's now, and have started through them again. What a terrific teaching tool that series would be!

Have fun with him...!

Re Universal Health Care.....Talk to people from the UK and Canada....They will tell you that it's great for colds, and the like, but need a hip or knee replaced....forgetabbtit for a year or two after you get on a waiting list.. Many of them come here to have them done... Plus, there aren't enough Doctors or Nurses.....Why should anyone want to take so many years in schooling, with so little financial reward...?
