It WAS necessary and it might have worked if banks had utilized it in the way it was intended. Instead they ignored Paulson and congress and hoarded it. Now we have hundreds of thousands of job losses and a dow that looks like it is heading for 6000.

But they (Democrats)do not trust republicans so why would they believe it? No, that is not an answer.

Or are you saying they are easily fooled? Do you see the problem with your reasoning?

Because they believed the republican line of bull that said it was necessary.

People of both parties believed it was necessary. See your fellow Democrat, Lizzie on that. See Pelosi, Reid, etc.

And in fact it seems to me it was Republicans least trusting of the bailout.

And they still are.
