I would have thought that Jenrette (Equitable) would have jumped already, the fact that it has not indicates to me that CTYS went too fast too far and that there are a large number of "financial" skeleton" in the closet. After the clean up, it is quite possible. The main question is what will they be buying, a portofolio of mortgage is not a big deal, the infrastructure that generates these mortgages might be valuable, but I am in no position to evaluate what it is.
