Cuban's smart....unless the other side recorded the call, it's all hearsay. Cuban's excuse will be "he called me to invite me to a meeting, he didn't say what about, ...on a hunch I sold it all. I didn't like the guy, he's a goof and I planned on selling any way,,, so I did."

The story that I read was that, as you say, Cuban was the largest shareholder. The CEO called him to tell him about some PIPE financing. Cuban was pissed because PIPE financing ends in dilution and short-selling. Then, Cuban couldn't sell and he knew it, and he reportedly said as much on the phone call. Yet, he sold $750k worth anyway.
