Who pays? The govt is handing out billions like they're pennies, why not invest it wisely in our society's future?

Of course it's going to increase the deficit, but that's a given. Is giving 500-800 billion to the public
to spend on crap they don't need to "stimulate the economy" a better use of government money?

and the corporate bond funds? They don't call 'em "junk" for nothing:









At some point this presents formidable competition to stocks for investment dollars. Guaranteed yield if the company makes it, and at least the prospect of *some* return of invested capital if the company fails.
