I disagree with you on the other automakers located in the U.S. also going under. Like you said, there is always a demand for cars. Therefore, the automakers who don't go under will have to increase production to meet the demand from the consumers who would have bought GM, Ford or Chrysler.

They too will need to absorb many of the laid off autoworkers so it is not quite the worst case scenario that is being presented
